OVERVIEW
The
Workforce Investment Board (WIB) administers the distribution
of federal Workforce Investment Act funds that are allocated
through the State of California to Ventura County.
The
federal funds help to support the Job & Career Centers and
other local programs and services that benefit adult and youth
job seekers, dislocated workers, and businesses.

MEMBERSHIP
The Ventura
County Board of Supervisors appoints members to the WIB
for two-year terms. The majority of WIB
members are from the business sector in Ventura County.
Others represent economic development, education, labor, government
and community-based organizations. |
