COUNTY WORKFORCE INVESTMENT BOARD COMMITTEES
Executive
Committee
Members
of the Executive Committee will be the Chair, Vice Chair,
the immediate Past Chair, and the Chairs of the standing
committees.
The
Executive Committee provides financial oversight and is
authorized to take actions on behalf of the WIB when time
sensitive correspondence or the approvals of compliance
documents are required before the next regularly scheduled
meeting of the WIB. Any such actions will be reported
to the WIB at its next regularly scheduled meeting.
Evaluation
Committee
The
purpose of the Evaluation Committee is to establish and
review relevant measures and indicators of performance that
focus on Employer and Job-Seeker Customer Satisfaction,
One-Stop System performance, youth and adult employment
and training activities, and business services. The
Evaluation Committee will provide reports and recommendations
to the WIB or to the Youth Council.
Marketing
and Business Outreach Committee
The
purpose of the Marketing and Business Outreach Committee
is to increase public awareness and to promote the use of
the services offered under the auspices of the WIB.
The primary target of the Committee’s community outreach
is local business and industry, but also includes the promotion
of marketing strategies to inform and attract clients to
youth, adult, and dislocated worker services and to the
local One-Stop Job & Career Center System.
The
Marketing Committee provides oversight and leadership with
respect to the development and release of various publications
and press releases that promote the Workforce Investment
Board’s mission.
Membership
Committee
The
Membership Committee is responsible for community outreach
for the purpose of WIB member recruitment, to develop and
promote strategies for WIB member leadership development,
to make recommendations relative to the replacement of members,
to review records of WIB member meeting attendance, to address
matters of member motivation and recognition, and to ensure
the proper implementation and consistency with the membership
provision of the Act as stipulated.
Resource
Planning Committee
The
Resource Planning Committee focuses on identifying and engaging
forward thinking community and educational leaders in partnerships
to promote systemic change, diversified funding, and program
development.
Youth
Council
The
purpose of the Youth Council is to help create a variety
of options for improving educational and skill competencies
and for making effective connections to employers for youth
ages 14 to 21. The Youth Council promotes linkages
between academic and occupational learning, ongoing mentorship
with adults, and opportunities related to leadership, decision-making,
citizenship and community service.
