When a company or business determines that there is a need to reduce their workforce due to company restructuring, closure or relocation, Rapid Response Services are available at no cost to employers or workers.

What businesses can expect from Rapid Response:

  • Confidential consultations regarding business decisions, and continued business productions and workforce transition planning.

  • Better worker morale and continued business productivity during the transition

  • Information about alternatives that may help avoid or reduce reduction in the workforce

  • Coordinated service delivery with business support partnerships

  • On-site, customized services from the Rapid Response Coordinator

What information workers can expect from Rapid Response:

  • Workforce Employment and Training programs

  • Unemployment Insurance eligibility and application steps

  • Ventura County Job & Career Centers

  • JCC Resource Centers, Job Fairs, Employer Recruitments

  • Referrals to other community-based vocational, educational and family support services

  • Service delivery that can be provided in both English and Spanish

Rapid Response services are part of the comprehensive Workforce Investment functions provided through the collaboration of the Workforce Investment Board, the Human Services Agency, the Ventura County Employment Development Department and other local community resources.
